Bryson County Residency Application

Practicing artists of all backgrounds and at any stage of their career are encouraged to apply. Applications are evaluated on the quality of the artists' work and professional promise.

Bryson County is designed to provide ample living and working space and inspirational settings where an artist may work free from the distractions and responsibilities of day-to-day life. Residencies are typically a month but other time frames can be considered.

Artists are responsible for their own food, meals, and transportation. Restaurants and grocery stores are conveniently located in Gainesville and the surrounding area. Deliveries are also available at the retreat.

Non-artist spouses, children and pets are not allowed, unless approved.

Material support outside of on-site equipment and materials is not available, though Bryson County will assist artists to accommodate their needs to the best of our ability.

Should you be accepted to the program, Bryson County will provide a formal letter of acceptance which can be used to acquire a travel grant or it may be used as documentation for securing other funding sources.
